22. PrimalOS Mobile App Data and Privacy
Primal Plunges operates a mobile application known as PrimalOS (the “App”), which allows users to track and record cold plunge activities. The App collects certain data to enhance the user experience and to support product functionality.
Information Collected Through the App
When using the PrimalOS App, we collect and store data about your cold plunge sessions, including but not limited to water temperature, duration, date, time, and usage frequency. The App may also collect device information, app usage metrics, and crash data to help improve performance.
Additionally, the App enables users to take and save photos through the App. These images are securely stored on Primal Plunges’ servers to support in-app features such as progress tracking, user history, or session summaries. These photos are not used for marketing, promotional, or public purposes, and they are not shared with other users or third parties.
Data Sharing and Use
The PrimalOS App includes social and community features where certain non-sensitive session data—such as plunge times, water temperatures, durations, and streak statistics—may be visible to other users in dashboard, leaderboard, or community-style displays. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that these forms of data sharing are part of the App’s design and cannot be disabled or opted out of.
Primal Plunges may use aggregated or anonymized data derived from PrimalOS for internal analytics, research, and marketing insights. This helps us understand user behavior and improve the App experience. Any use of such data will not include personally identifiable information or user photos.
Data Retention and Security
Data collected through the App is stored securely on Primal Plunges’ servers and is retained for as long as your account remains active, or as required by law. You may contact us at support@primalplunges.com to request deletion of your account and related data, subject to applicable retention requirements. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
Third-Party Services and Integrations
The PrimalOS App may use third-party services for analytics, cloud storage, and performance monitoring. These third parties may have access to limited data to perform services on our behalf, and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Health Disclaimer
PrimalOS is intended for wellness tracking only and is not a medical or diagnostic application. Information displayed by the App, including plunge duration or temperature recommendations, is for general informational purposes. You should consult a qualified healthcare provider before engaging in cold exposure routines. Primal Plunges is not responsible for any injury or health outcomes resulting from use of the App or related products.
